BRAD L. CHAMPLIN is a founding director and Chairman of the National Bipolar Foundation.
Until April, 2007, he served as Executive Vice President of Regions Financial Corporation, a position he held since July 2004. Regions Bank is a $135 Billion bank. From February 1975 to October 1966, he served as Executive Vice President of Leader Federal Bank for Savings, until that bank was acquired by Union Planters and subsequently merged with Regions Bank. At Regions Bank Mr. Champlin’s responsibilities included legislative coordination and public affairs. He graduate from the University of Southern California with a B.S. degree in 1964 and earned an M.B.A. degree from that University in 1968. He also attended Cambridge University in England.
At Regions Bank Mr. Champlin served on the Board of Directors for Tennessee Bankers Association and on the Government Affairs Review Committee for American Bankers Association in Washington, D.C. Mr. Champlin was an organizing director and currently serves on the boards of the Orange County Business Bank in Newport Beach, California, and Black River BancVenture in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Champlin serves on the boards of Agricenter International in Memphis, Tennessee, the Navy League of Memphis, and the English Speaking Union (ESU) in Memphis, Tennessee, where he and his wife co-chair ESU’s annual Shakespeare competition for high schools students. He also serves on the Memphis Chamber Legislative Affairs Committee and is past president of the Economic Club of Memphis.
